Tools I Use

Welcome to the Tools & Resources section of my website! An awesome list of the tools and resources that I strongly recommend for both graphic and website designers. I have used every recommendation on this page and many of the resources listed here are crucial to the production of my artwork and website development.

Before diving into the awesome resources I know and trust, an important disclosure:

Some (not all) of the links below are affiliate links, which means that if you choose to make a purchase, I will earn a commission. This commission comes at no additional cost to you. Please understand that I have experience with all of these companies, and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals.

For Building Websites

The following website tools are the resources that I personally use every day and recommend to anyone serious about building websites professionally or to develop their online brand, portfolio or e-commerce store. Although the majority of these tools do require a little bit of a learning curve they are the best options for long-term growth and feature flexibility.

SiteGround Website Hosting

A lot of my websites are hosted on SiteGround, including this one. Why? Because they make it incredibly easy to get a new site up and running with their one-click automatic WordPress installation. You can also host multiple domains with the “GrowBig” package —no need to pay more for hosting when you’re ready to start a new website. Also, they pride themselves on offering outstanding customer service. I highly recommend using SiteGround for your websites, when it comes to hosting services these guys are one of the best at a very affordable price. Usually, you can’t get both cheap AND good service out of a hosting company. But SiteGround is the exception.

Stripe Payment Processor

Stripe has been my favorite payment processing platform for eCommerce websites for the last few years. It lets you manage various website accounts under one main account. The dashboard is super easy to use and navigate and also comes with a mobile application which allows you to monitor all your accounts easily on your smart phone with instant notifications. Compatible with WooCommerce as well. This is by far my top recommended payment processor around.

WooCommerce Shopping Cart WP Plugin

I have been using WooCommerce for a while now for all my eCommerce websites. Set up only takes a few minutes allowing you to easily integrate a shopping cart to your website. Connects with Stripe or Paypal  and features shipping classes and coupon codes, among other awesome features. Best of all it’s FREE. Check it out below!

ShipStation offers shipping software designed to save you time and money on eCommerce fulfillment and shipping. It integrates with WooCommerce, Paypal, Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and many more. It is the #1 choice of online sellers today, try it for a risk-free 30 day trial with the link below.

Wix Drag & Drop Website Builder

If you’re someone who isn’t interested in learning Worpress or CMS systems this is the way to go. I have used Wix in the past for clients who already had Wix and wanted a re-design without changing hosts. It is a great drag and drop builder tool for beginners and for people who don’t want to spend much time learning about web design. Check out the link for more info.

For Video Production

ScreenFlow Video Editing and Screen Recording

I love to use Screenflow for all my tutorial videos, it offers great features like screen recording and video editing all in one. Although it’s for MAC only, it’s super easy to use and navigate for any one who isn’t familiar with video editing software. Highly recommended, can also be used for audio editing (ie. podcasts etc.)

Storage Tools

Dropbox

I use Dropbox on a daily basis. Not only does it allow you to safely and securely store all your files, but, if you’re working with other people, it makes it easy for you to collaborate on shared documents. The basic plan (2gb of space) is free.
